2012 Service Changes

Since Happy Roots started in 2005, we have always accepted and offered single service orders on an as needed basis for all of our customers.  For example, a customer could call or e-mail us and order one thing like an aeration, a sprinkler blowout, a single fertilizer application or anything else that we offered at any time.

As Happy Roots grows, we are finding that offering single services on an as needed basis is creating a huge spike in business in the spring and fall months that makes it very difficult for us to keep up with the work load.  Some say that this is a good problem to have.  Well it may be, but when I started Happy Roots, my goal has and always will be to provide the best customer service and great results that transform a yard and make it beautiful along with building a relationship with each customer we serve.  When we have these massive increases in business during the spring and fall months by offering single services to everyone, it greatly affects our customer service. Our level of service has definitely been better than most companies but not up to the level that we want to provide for our clients.

The good news is that we have come up with a solution to this issue.  Over the winter, we have decided that we are only going to offer services in packages or programs and will no longer be offering single services.  Our programs and packages are weekly mowing, fertilizer packages, snow removal program, yard clean-ups and on-site consulting for the do-it-your-self-er.  You can sign up for one or a combination of any and all of these programs or packages and still have access to all of our offered services.

We have already been offering these packages and programs each year in addition to our single services, and have found over our 7 years in business, that the best possible way for us to have great customer service, relationships and great results is to provide care for a home landscape that is more than just a one time stop each spring and/or fall.  We believe that if we really want to help someone have a beautiful lawn and/or landscape, it takes more than one 20 minute stop.  We also realize that a large number of you may not need that level of service and you do a great job on your own yard, just needing a few things here or there.  So we have created a fertilizer package that is very basic and inexpensive, called the “Bronze Package” for those who want to do most of their own yard work, but still want access to Happy Roots services.

At Happy Roots we want to serve you in a way that really helps you get the most out of your time and money spent on your landscape.  After all, your landscape is worth thousands of dollars and we want to be a true value, asset and help maintaining your investment.
